This week, everything changed for the worst…

At just 66 years young, Maryanne Morrisby… our Mezzy… has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease and given 1–5 years max to live.

There’s no gentle way to say that.

No way to make that sound okay.

Because it’s not.

1–5 years of time that suddenly feels far too short.

Of moments we wish we could slow down.

Of memories we now have to make count.

I know everyone says this.... but Mezzy is the one who shows up for everyone. The one who checks in when you’re not okay, who gives without ever asking for anything back.

She is a beautiful mum, a proud and loving nanna, and a friend to so many of us reading this.

And now… she’s the one who needs us.

In a twist that feels incredibly unfair, she thought she was going in for answers around MS… (which I suffer from).

Last year, her son Danny who is one of my closest friends ran 50km in one day to raise money to support me…

I never knew how to repay him, but life is cruel enough to do it in a way like this.

So please help me.

This year, it’s Mezzy’s turn to be supported.

We’re coming together to raise money to help Mezzy survive and not just exist.

She can no longer work, and this support will help cover the basics — rent, bills, and everyday living costs. We don’t need her worrying about these things while trying to just survive.

She doesn’t have long left on this earth so every second counts right now.

So here we are creating Mezzy’s Moments which is her very own version of a bucket list.

The things she wants to do, see, and experience.

Because someone who has given so much to all of us deserves that and more.
