Hello everyone,
Caring for animals is in our DNA. We are Leigh and Kate and live in Las Tres Palmas, a
small town in Oaxaca, México.
It all started on an afternoon walk when we came across a group of skeletal dogs, with
barely enough energy to move. That moment changed our lives.
The very next day with the help of some neighbours, we rescued these malnourished
and impoverished puppies. Overnight, we had all these puppies in our care for which we were totally responsible. Fast forward two short, but intense, months ahead and we had healthy, happy dogs ready for adoption. Their transformation was incredibly inspiring.
So inspiring that we continued what became our calling that very day. There are
countless more dogs needing our help — we come across them, people drop them off,
calls come in notifying us of dogs in distress — it is truly shocking the number of
abandoned street dogs living in misery. But it is also truly rewarding to see how a little compassion goes such a long way in turning their lives around.
We are putting a call out to ask for donations to go towards food, medicine, vet visits
and sterilisation. Our intent is to give as many suffering street dogs as possible the love and care necessary to prepare them for a new life through rehoming locally and international adoption. Also through cultivating relationships within our community, we are able to offer education on animal care and share the importance of sterilising their dogs.
Your generosity will help us with the cost of saving lives.
Thank you for partnering with us to lift these beautiful dogs up to a life where they can
thrive.
