Metz Family Flood Relief Hurricane Idalia

My sister's family (Seth and Leslie Metz) was severely affected by Hurricane Idalia last week. Below is a recap of her experience and current situation:

Thankfully we are all safe and sound but - sadly, last week as Hurricane Idalia hit the coast, our home in Shore Acres (St. Petersberg, FL) flooded. With over 5 inches of water in most areas, a large portion of our furniture, belongings and appliances are totally destroyed. We are in the process of gutting the house and working with insurance and supporting resources to start the rebuild process. Our vehicles also flooded and are in need of repair or replacement, our garage door is broken and in need of replacement, and we are officially displaced for several months to come as we work on putting our lives and home back together.

We are so thankful for friends and family who have repeatedly asked how they can help - the answer is that we're still trying to figure it out and put all the pieces together but we know it's going to be tough financially managing all the extra costs to come including rent for temporary housing, vehicle and home repairs, time off of work, etc.

We know we'll get through this as we've done it before but any little bit of help would be greatly appreciated. Any funds raised through Go Fund Me will go directly to our rent and home repairs. Thank you all so much!
