I was drugged, tortured, isolated, sexually and financially exploited and dragged through the court system by my abusive ex-husband,  whilst he was having multiple affairs during our 23 yrs emotionally destructive marriage. Prior to this, I had lost six children due to pregnancy complications. I was blessed with two children and decided to stay at home to raise them. This is when the abuse gathered momentum. 

I was coerced to dismiss the protective order against him. He took my kindness for weakness and waged a five year custody battle against me. Since I have been unemployed, I ran out of money and steam. Custody of the children was given to him in July 2017.

He waged another battle that I should put the marital home on the market in a "For Show" state. This is what the divorce agreement reads. However, I did not realize that "For Show" meant an upgraded state. I was unable to do this because of my unemployment status. He has filed a contempt of court hearing for November 20th, 2017. The consequence of this is a jail term.

This is a social injustice issue and an urgent call to action where the victim of a crime is retraumatized and revictimized by the very system set up to protect them.

I have run out of funds so I am reaching out to friends to raise money to retain a lawyer for my legal defense.
