Mary Ann Morin is the Treasurer of Metis Nation-Saskatchewan voted in with 2504 votes on May 27, 2017. On September 24, 2017 Metis Executive put forward a motion to accept the Treasurer's resignation and it was passed, due to conflict arising from internal control issues related to non arms length hiring of unqualified individuals and transactions of the Executive. Mary Ann maintained she did not resign and pursued Court action file QB104-2019, and the court ruled in her favour which in summary, the Court stated she in fact did not resign and was in fact the current Treasurer of Metis Nation-Saskatchewan March 10, 2020.

Mary Ann is requesting your support to continue this action to set aside this appeal MN-S filed. Their action it seems was designed to run out the time to election 2021, preventing the Treasurer, Mary Ann Morin from resuming her duties. Mary Ann Morin has been informed further legal action will be approximately $30,000 and she is already repaying the costs of $35,000 from the last two legal battles which includes a slander case by CEO Richard Quintal who is formerly an employee of Crown Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada as of July 1, 2019. The following is her words regarding the past three years.
Authorized by the Committee to Elect Mary Ann Morin for President Metis Nation-Saskatchewan 2021
On March 10, 2020, the day we learned Covid-19 was a pandemic, I received the message that the court had made the decision which validated my positin: "I did not resign", and the Court declaration returned me to the table of Metis Nation Saskatchewan to continue the mandate of Accountability, Communication and Transparency from the Metis people of Saskatchewan.
Two hours later Metis Nation Canada President Clem Chartier read a text out loud from a, Acting Executive Director Richard Quintal, former Policy Manager with INAC that the decision would be appealled and in MNC Presidents words, "So much for democracy."

I received the most votes of all individual candidates with my mandate, from 2504 out of 5000 VOTING (a majority) Metis citizens of Saskatchewan. With approximately 2500 registered with the MN-S registry, which was acknowledged as compromised by Ernst &Young, I knew we had to regain the trust of Metis Nation-Saskatchewan people.
The overall goal is to hold leaders and managers fiducuary responsible and accountable for the decisions made and funding from all funding agencies during the term of 2017 to 2021 on behalf of the Metis people of Saskatchewan.
Currently the 2018-19 Audit shows $10,000,000 in revenues with the accounting for $32,000,000 missing from Economic Development and not mentioned in the 2018-19 audit. I realize many organizations have started Trust funds but it is to be accounted for and not as a slush fund for non arms length projects of Board members including Provincial Metis Council members and executive of the non profit organization of Metis Nation- Saskatchewan Secretariat Inc.
I am a Chartered Professional Accountant for over 15 years with experience as a funding services officer. This position is not reasonable behavior on any organization and I truly believe Metis of Saskatchewan deserve better and I am asking for your support in further pursuing this appeal and ensuring our Metis Constitution is upheld.
Louis Riel Day 2020 during Covid-10 pandemic was a time to remind us we need to care for our grand children's future. Prayers and Blessings to all who are sick and facing uncertainty in health and wellness.
