School Safety/Metal Detectors
Donation protected
UPDATE: We talked to our Superintendent and learned that they are not only interested in metal detectors and Hand Held detectors at each entrance, but also, Active Shooter Training for all staff and students to better prepare the school for such an incident. Trained law enforcement officers will facilitate this training. Lastly, the school is working through the logistics to develop a secure, safe school environment. Since the budget is prepared 18 months in advance the school is dependent on the community to raise the money for better school security. Any questions you have please feel free to forward them to Mrs. Blessing, our school superintendent. We are in a crunch for this upcoming school year so our deadline for the campaign is JULY 20th.
As a committee we are adopting this mission statement: "A caring community works together to build a better tomorrow." Our goal as a community is to protect our students from danger while they are at school. We feel this needs to be in place by the upcoming school year. The school administration has done the research and has determined what is needed to be a safe environment. Now, we just need the money!! Will you make a donation to help protect your child or grandchild?
In order to be proactive concerning security for Northeastern Wayne Schools, a Go Fund Me page has been set up. The purpose is to raise $13,000.00 to cover the cost of metal detectors for the two entrances at the Junior High, Senior High School and Elementary.
