If you know Mestre Lazaro Santos, then you know that he's always given 110% of himself to his students for the past three decades.

Now is our chance to help return the favor. For the past 4 years, Mestre Lazaro has been unable to do Capoeira or any sort of light exercise due to severe end-stage Osteoarthritis, bone-on-bone hip joint, bone spurs, and a completely deteriorated labrum and cartilage in his left hip.  Along with the daily pain, you can imagine how difficult this must be for him since his life is Capoeira.

After the complete failure of multiple rounds of a very expensive stem-cell treatment that was said to fix his problem, Mestre is going to undergo a Total Hip Replacement. 

Mestre feels extremely optimistic about this hip replacement.  The surgeon he is using has been extremely successful in allowing athletes (including dancers, gymnasts, and runners) to return to their active lifestyle. 

Mestre has spent $10,000+ on stem cell treatments and doctor visits that did not have any healing effect. Now he must meet his $8,000 deductible to receive the hip replacement.  Our goal is to help raise $8,000 to help Mestre pay his insurance deductible to undergo the surgery.
