Messiah Lutheran Church Flood Recovery

On September 1, Messiah Lutheran Church in Downingtown, PA, sustained major damage due to flooding from Hurricane Ida. The basement filled with water (only the top three steps were visible), and we had 3-4 feet of water throughout the first floor of the building. Our organ, keyboards, and sound board are a total loss, as are the computers, printers, copier, desks, and office equipment. Flooring, carpet, and drywall all need to be torn out and replaced.

Our insurance does not include coverage for flooding. We are exploring all funding options for repairs, replacement, and recovery, and one of those options is GoFundMe! We appreciate any donation you're able to make.

As the church treasurer, I'm establishing this fundraiser. All funds will be deposited directly in Messiah's bank account at the end of the campaign.
