My sisterfriend Kelly, pictured here on RedTed, has not been able to sit on let alone ride, any of her horses because of the constant and severe pain caused by two failed mesh removal surgeries performed at top hospitals in Toronto. I have learned that there are thousands of women around the world who have been victims of these meshes and whose lives have been turned upside down because of the debilitating pain.  Studies report that most suffer from severe depression to the extent of being suicidal because there is no relief, no treatment and very limited medically trained and skilled surgeons to perform this very intricate and specialized mesh removal surgery.  There is a class action suit currently against the manufacturers of the mesh, Johnson & Johnson and countless suits have been filed privately against hospitals and un-trained surgeons who have escalated the pain and caused countless other physical and mental health complications for women, like Kelly, who have put their trust in them to remove their mesh.  The foremost experts are in the States where specialized surgical and medical training is mandatory and those with these credentials and proven success rates are few.
After 2 years of research, Kelly contacted Dr. Veronikas at Mercy Hospital in St-Louis Missouri with whom she has communicated  over the past year and he has accepted her as a patient and has scheduled her for surgery on Aug 14, 2019.  She will be hospitalized for 10 days before she can come home and then she will be on strict physical restrictions for at least 8 to 12 weeks.  The cost is $18,000.00 US + her flight there and back home to her homestead, "The Ponderosa", in Nobleton, Ontario.  Health Canada will not pay and Kelly is self-employed, she is a dog groomer.  Her life is spent with animals and her horses are a big part of her and her life-line! 
Please help me get Kelly back in the saddle and relieve some of the stress of this financial burden so that she can focus on her mental preparation for this surgery and with your help and support, the miracle of a full recovery and FREEDOM from pain!
