Merry Cerviving Cancer
Donation protected
Our girl, and my best friend, Merry Chase, was recently diagnosed with Stage 1B squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix after being misdiagnosed last July. After continued symptoms (and pressure from her mother) she sought out a second opinion and was then correctly diagnosed on December 29, 2020, by Dr. Susan Peeler with Mercy Medical Center’s renowned Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology Center. She will now have to undergo a radical trachelectomy (surgery to remove the growth) February 22, 2021 with the possibility of others in the future. Her surgery will be followed by chemo and radiation therapy. All of her care is being done at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore City. As I’m sure you can all imagine, her doctors appointments, scans, hospital bills, and recovery will add up very quickly even with help from her insurance, which is not that comprehensive. We want to do everything in our power to lessen this burden for her. Through all of this, Merry is staying so positive and optimistic about her diagnosis, so please consider also sending her some words of love and encouragement. Any amount of money is so appreciated!
