Hello everyone,
On the morning of 12.23.20 My 6 year old corgi/blue heeler, Merrick, was hit by a vehicle driving down Agua Fria. That driver promptly drove away as I grabbed her body off the street. I am devastated. We took her to Smiths Veterinary Hospital located in Santa Fe, NM where they told me that they believe she has damage to her chest, jaw, ribs, and back legs. I haven't gotten all the information as we are still waiting at the vet as they preform treatments on her, but the doctor believes that any further cost will be upwards of 1,500. She has a punctured lung, which is the most life threatening of her injuries as of right now. Doctors recommend that she will need to stay overnight in order to be monitored and left on oxygen. My heart is broken, she is my best friend. I ask for any donations possible to keep my baby alive and well. Anything is appreciated.
