Mermaid Atlantic - The Seahorse Trust

Three friends from the Isle of Wight, all alike in ambition, are undertaking the ultimate ocean encounter in 2023. The mission is two-fold, firstly to communicate the detrimental effect of waste items on the ocean, polluting the water, damaging ecosystems and threatening marine life. The second is to raise awareness of the power of seagrass and the role it plays in combating the climate crisis as well as providing habitats to marine life.
The Seahorse Trust is a registered charitable organisation for research into and of seahorses, education about seahorses and the wider marine environment and the enjoyment of seahorses and other species. They also look to conserve other species and habitats in the sea, on land and in the air for the future of nature and the natural world.
The money you donate to the Seahorse Trust will help support their eco-mooring project, which are being installed in order to protect seagrass beds, the habitats of our two native seahorse species. Funding is needed to purchase, maintain and locate new areas which would benefit from seagrass rejuvenation.
