Hello my name is Jordan Bullach and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of Thomas Kanata

It is with heavy hearts that we reach out to our community, friends, and coworkers for support during this incredibly difficult time. Our dear foreman, Desmond Windigo, recently lost his father, Merlin Charles Wolfe, who passed away on November 27, 2025, just before the Christmas holiday. Merlin was born on September 30, 1967, and his passing has brought deep sorrow to all who knew and loved him.

At Thomas Kanata, we pride ourselves on being more than just a workplace. We are a family built on safety, unity, and genuine care for one another. Desmond has been a valuable part of our team at BHP Mine, and now it is our turn to stand beside him, offering strength and compassion as he navigates this heartbreaking loss.

Merlin’s legacy lives on through Desmond—a man who reflects his father’s values of dedication, integrity, and love for community. As he grieves, we want him to feel the full support of those who work alongside him every day, as well as the broader community who understands the weight of such a loss, especially during what is normally a season of togetherness and celebration.

We are asking for help from all corners—friends, coworkers, and the community—to support Desmond during this time. The funds raised will go directly toward funeral expenses and will help ease the financial burden that comes with such an unexpected tragedy.
