Mercy is a retired police dog who needed a second chance and a loving home. She came into our lives and we quickly fell in love with her obedient and loving spirit.
Yesterday morning, Mercy along with our other adopted German Shepard were running by the fence. She ran into a sprinkler and cut her chest open.
We quickly got in the car and took her to the nearest vet clinic that could take care of such wound.
To treat her we had to pay $1,581.90. I didn't think twice about it--she was in a lot of pain and we had no other options.
When I called this AM to see how she was doing, I was informed that the laceration went in deeper than they originally thought and the surgery was more extensive. The wound was getting infected and they had to cut off some skin that had died. They also said they felt it was important to keep her another night. All this means Mercy's medical bills are on the rise.
Please help with your prayers and if you can with any size contribution to help with her medical expenses.
