Hi friends and family, it is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that on September 5th, 2025, we lost our beautiful, amazing mom Mercy Nevarez...
she was battling a lot of illnesses for years. She had pulmonary fibrosis for most of her life diabetes for over 10 years and she had found out she had heart failure in the beginning of June. She's been on and off in the hospital for years and had always fought off her illnesses.
Unfortunately, on June 13th she went to the hospital for shortness of breath, and it turned out she had pneumonia. Two days later she ended up getting two strokes while she was in the hospital that caused her to not be able to speak, walk or even sit up on her own. This also led to her having kidney failure to where she had to be put on dialysis. About a month of being in the hospital she was released and sent to a rehab facility to get physical therapy; she looked like she was starting to improve until she unfortunately ended up getting pneumonia again and other infections in her lungs that caused her to end up in the ICU again. These infections were just too much for her body to handle and she fought for her life until her body could no longer take it anymore.
She was an amazing mom to us and was always there for us no matter what. She always wanted the best for us. She taught us how to never give up and follow our dreams and to make every single day count with the people we love. She was a devoted Christian and never lost her faith no matter what she went through. Despite going through a lot of battles in her life she was always so strong and overcame so many hardships. She was one of the strongest women we know! She was loved by many, and all our hearts are completely shattered from this. This is really hard for us; we lost the one person we always looked up too.
This tragedy has affected our family and friends very deeply. We're trying to raise money so we can put our mom to rest. Anything would be much appreciated so we can give her the proper burial she deserves. Thank you all for your support.
