Mercy Brown Bag Program
A little goes a long way! Oakland's Mercy Brown Bag program
helps seniors get the food they need, and with the height of this
pandemic, seniors rely on Mercy's groceries more than ever.
Our goal this spring is to help Mercy create over 250 bags of
groceries for low-incomes seniors across Alameda county. We've
learned that it takes about $7.75 to fill an entire bag of food and so we're looking to reach a goal of $2,000. Anything you can give will be appreciated.
However, we're completely aware of the hardships that everyone
is enduring this year. If you can't provide any donations, the Brown Bag Program happily accepts volunteers and have made
modifications to follow county social distancing protocols. Helping our community in such a direct and active way has been one of the most rewarding experiences of the year
