Hello Everyone,
As some of you know, Mercedes Elizabeth Cox was a passenger in a friends vehicle on October 26th, 2014.
While riding home from a church halloween function on the highway, the driver of the vehicle swerved to avoid something in the road when their vehicle slammed into the guard rail and rolled over the embankment. It trapped Mercedes in the vehicle dealing a massive amount of critical damage.
Mercedes is currently unconscious in Critical condition at St. Johns Medical Center in Tulsa, OK in the Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit. She has a broken ribcage, bleeding in the brain and a collapsed and bruised lung as well as other injuries.
This tragic event forced her mother and brother , Jamala Pratt and Lew Cox, to fly out to Oklahoma and be with her.
Lew is staying until Mercedes is stable, but Jamala will be by her side until the very resolution of this horrible accident.
This crowdfunding account will go twords Mercedes Medical expenses as well as help keep her mother, Jamala, in Oklahoma for as long as it takes. Preliminary estimates have no idea how long it will take for Mercedes to wake up but we appreciate any and all prayer and financial assistance to keep Jamala with her Daughter for as long as it takes.
Any amount of donation will help out an incredible amount, for the undoubtedly long road ahead to recovery. We all pray that Mercedes stays with us.
