Morgana's Kitty Dental Surgery

This fundraiser is for dental surgery for my 5-year-old tuxedo cat, Morgana (or Mona for short). He has gingivitis due to a pre-existing condition and I need all the help I can get to afford the very expensive procedure. The preliminary blood work and surgery itself will cost up to $1000; I'm starting with $500 of my own money and am asking all of you if you'll be able to help me carry the rest. In August 2022, I was stuck looking for housing, and crashed at a friend's place for about a month. There, I met the most handsome, adorable and loving little tuxedo cat being fostered under their care. He had been rescued from a hoarding situation in Quebec, and he needed a new forever home. I fell in love with him (despite his funny teeth and bad breath problem), adopted him, and named him Morgana (or Mona for short). Mona was the first pet I ever had. He and I became best friends and I took him with me whenever I moved to a new place afterwards. We've been living together at my current place for a bit over a year. Late last year, I adopted a kitten, Milton, who's now his frisky little brother and playmate.

Near the start of the year, I took Mona and Milton to Toronto Cat Rescue for their vaccines. There, I learned that Mona had a genetic gum disorder (explaining his oral problems) and that he'd need expensive dental surgery in order to fix them. Mona has pretty bad gingivitis, and some of his back teeth are causing him pain. I'd like nothing more than for my little one to be as happy and healthy as he can be, but even at TCR, the surgery is prohibitively expensive. Even with my subsidy under ODSP, the entire process will cost somewhere around $800-1000, including the preliminary blood work:

Thankfully I got some birthday money, and have been able to get a head start on saving up for Mona's dental surgery (especially after resolving my OTHER financial emergency of needing a bike for work). But there's still some ways to go, and so I'm asking for your help so that my dear kitty can get the surgery that he needs to be happy, healthy and free of pain.
