Here is information for the transfer review.
Relationship: I, and all of the donors, are concerned citizens who support Mentor School District joining the Vouchers Hurt Ohio lawsuit. I live in Mentor. I am a retired educator.
Transfer Plan: Once approved, I will transfer all funds to a personal bank account and the write a check directly to the School District for the entire amount. I have already discussed this plan with the CFO of the school district.
How funds will be spent: The CFO, Bill Wade, will create an account within the school district financial system. This account will be specific to the purpose of these funds, to sponsor district participation in the lawsuit. The Coalition assesses an annual participation fee based on the number of students in the district.

Please note: Donations have been closed as of this point. The School Board voted to join the lawsuit, in part because of the support from all of you through your donations.
We will be transferring the donations we have received to the School District in the next few days. Please keep in touch as this is not a one and done issue. We will come back as the next chapter unfolds. Thank. you to everyone who has supported this effort.
At the next business meeting, scheduled for June 9, 2026, the Mentor Public School Board of Education will be considering whether to join the Vouchers Hurt Ohio coalition lawsuit (VHO) challenging the use of vouchers in the State of Ohio. Go to https://vouchershurtohio.com/ for more information.
Many of us support this action. However, one of the concerns raised by those who object to joining the lawsuit is challenging the use of taxpayer dollars to join the coalition. In order to support the Board of Education's decision and reduce that concern, we are raising funds to cover all or part of the annual fee for membership in the Coalition. The current fee is $2.00 per student annually, which amounts to about $13,500.00.
