Mental Illness and Funeral Arrangements For Josh

My brother, the best big brother ever...
Josh was an integral part of many lives he touched through his 38 years on this earth. He was an amazing friend, brother, husband, cousin, and son to some of the most amazing people on Earth. At family events you could always find him playing at the kid's table even though he didn't have any of his own. He loved to give nieces and nephews "anything they wanted". Christmas and birthdays were his favorite events because that meant he could spoil the kids with presents. He meant the world to me, I looked up to him as someone that I could love and could always count on to be a great sounding board.
Josh was diagnosed with a mental illness in September 2018, he was tormented everyday by negative thoughts. So often these stories are never shared by those who experience them, but in fact 1 in 5 Americans will experience some kind of mental illness in a given year.
Our family has been through a lot in the last few weeks, including expenses we didn't know we would have to cover. The first part of the funds are going to pay off debt incurred through this tragedy. Whatever funds are left are going to Mental Illness Awareness. https://www.nami.org/#
It's time to destigmatize mental illness, so more people can talk about their condition and not worry that they are going to be judged.
Any amount of support would help immensely, we really need to change this stigma for good. Thank you all very much!
