Myself and John Yates are going to be doing a sky dive from 15,000ft in November 2025.
We are rasing funds which will be evenly split across 2 charities.
Charity Number 1 will be Well Mental UK-
Well Mental UK is a CIC which is run by a small group of volunteers. Who's aim is to make a positive impact on people’s mental health and wellbeing by motivating them to get physically active and outdoors. Making a safe and welcoming community for people of all backgrounds, sharing positivity and awareness of mental health to aid in recovery and change people’s lives for the better. We love seeing people do well!
In partnership with Unit 4 Fitness, we run weekly Mens and Women's Mental Health Fitness sessions which have been a great success. These sessions are partly Funded by Well Mental and we would love for these sessions to keep running long into the future
"I know personally how good Well Mental UK have been for me, I attend the weekly Mens mental health session and have been doing for approximately 2 years. The support I have received from the group has been incredible and they have helped me with my own mental health battles"
Charity Number 2 will be SANDS-Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society
Sands is the UK’s leading pregnancy and baby loss charity. Who support everyone touched by pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.
Every day in the UK, 13 babies die shortly before, during or soon after birth. At least 1 in 6 of pregnancies end in miscarriage. Thousands of parents and families are experiencing the heartbreak of pregnancy and baby loss every year in the UK.
Too often, the reasons for pregnancy and baby losses are not fully understood, and this lack of understanding makes it harder to prevent future tragedies.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
My brother in law and his partner have recently had a tragic loss of their baby girl, Marley Rose. Marley was full term, and for reasons unknown, her little heart stopped beating 2 weeks before she was due to enter the world. Marley was born sleeping, but she was deeply loved and longed for by all of her family.
Any donations no matter how small will be massively appreciated by us and help us hit our target, meaning we can support both charities to continue with the fantastic work they do, and support those people that need it the most.
