Leayan, Eleni, Basil, Waleed, Yasmeen and Eddie are taking part in the 2019 Santa Run in order to raise awareness and eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health.  

It's sad in our society that when someone has physical pain, you go to the Dr or Hospital to seek care. Yet when someone tells you they are suffering mental pain, you tell them to get over it. 

Mind's research estimates that 1 in 4 people in the UK suffers from Mental Health issues. We are trying to remove the stigma in people standing up and seeking help for these issues. 

We are raising money for Mind, a charity that provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. We want to do our little part in order for them to fulfill their slogan "We won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect"
