Hi, my name is Sandy Gosalvez and I am fundraising to save my son’s life.

Colby has been dealing with major depression for the past two years. However, in the last 6-months his depression has become much more severe. He has been self harming himself extensively and it’s come to a point where he is in danger of losing his life and needs residential mental health care to heal and recover.

Unfortunately, my insurance does not offer a local program that would be a safe space for him or that will provide him the support he needs.

We found a wonderful facility for him in West Palm Beach, Florida (Family First) that specialize in his case and has been amazing at helping us through this realization and insurance nightmare. Unfortunately, it costs $27,500 for a 45-day stay (and that is with a significant discount). Adding in our flights, hotels, car rental, and incidentals, the total cost is $35,000.

Also unfortunately, Ken and I are not in a financial position where we can afford to pay this out-of-pocket. In order for us to make this happen, we are going to need to borrow from our 401(k) and significantly impact our retirement fund.

We understand that mental health is a huge issue for everyone right now, but my little boys life is on the line, and I would appreciate any support you can provide us.
