Hi, my name is Melissa, and I'm a co-founder of Girls Matter.

At Girls Matter, we raise funds to support girls in Africa through Highschool and University, to stop teenage marriages, and so they don't repeat the poverty cycle of their mothers. When we educate a girl we give her the ability to earn her own income, which gives her independence and we grow the GDP of the country too!

The other problem girls face is a lack of access to menstrual supplies. As such they miss a week of school every month! Imagine if you had to stay at home 1 week of every month, with nothing more than a rag to use to contain your flow! Unthinkable and yet it's a reality for millions of girls in developing countries.

Please help us by donating to support the girls and provide them with supplies. In Uganda we have partnered with Rotary International, who has built a manufacturing plant, making these supplies and for just $20 you can provide a girl with supplies to get her through high school

In Kenya, we are partnering with Jali Sisters, a local organization that helps teach women skills so they can earn an income and one of those skills is making these menstrual pads. We also need to provide the materials for them to use. For just $10 you can supply a girl with 1 year of supplies.
