My name is Kelly, and I am Spencer’s partner and this is Spencer’s Story.

Spencer was the kindest person, with the biggest heart and the most infectious personality. He had an ability to make people feel valued. As a friend, he was loyal, kind and generous. As a partner, he was loving, attentive, and deeply devoted. He was supportive and gave unconditional love. As a father he was patient, kind and incredibly proud.

Spencer gave so much of himself to the people he loved, he always put others needs before his own. What we could not see was the silent struggle he carried inside. He believed he had to handle his pain alone and did not know how to reach out for help, or that it was more than okay to ask for it. He hid his pain behind kindness and care for others.

Spencer sadly passed away by suicide, leaving behind a pain that words can’t fully describe. His loss is heartbreaking and a reminder that mental health struggles are not always visible, and that even the most loving, energetic, funny person can be suffering in silence.
