This charity match is about much more than football. 

My name is Jay, known to most as TheMatchdayDesk on Tiktok, and this is the story.

When I was 17 years old, I lost my best friend to suicide. It was one of the hardest experiences of my life, and it’s something that has stayed with me ever since. Losing someone so close at such a young age showed me just how important mental health support is and how many people silently struggle with battles that others never see.

That’s why this event means so much to me.

I’ve brought together more than 30 creators, over 1.5M followers to take part in this charity match, not only to put on a great event for the community but to raise awareness and vital funds for men’s mental health. Too many men feel they have to suffer in silence, and too many families have experienced the heartbreak of losing someone they love.

Every donation made through this fundraiser will go towards supporting a men’s mental health charity, helping provide resources, support, and hope to those who need it most. Part of the money from this fundraiser will go towards the event itself, getting entertainment and venue etc sorted out.
