My close friend and bright sparkle Kelsey Davidson was tragically taken away from us by the Meningococcal Disease.
She woke up with a sore throat and was gone within 12 hours. This vicious disease snatches lives with a ferocious rapidness that doesn't even leave you time to say goodbye.
Kelsey's death was not in vain and I want to raise funds in her honour. The money will be allocated to the Meningitis Foundation. It will pay for vaccines and promote the prevention, control and awareness of meningitis.
Some are lucky enough to survive the disease but are left with permanent damage such as amputations, lung and kidney damage and loss of sight ... to name a few.
I will be running a half-marathon which will be dedicated to her and her vibrant, loving memory.
