Meng's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
*We've decided to close the GoFundMe page as our needs have changed for the time being. Our thanks go out to everyone for their support!
Meng has been diagnosed with CNS lymphoma cancer which has unfortunately paralyzed the entire left side of her body. The cause of this cancer is due to a tumour found in her brain.
She has been hospitalized since the start of quarantine, March 2020, and has not come home since. She has undergone chemotherapy, radiation, and has been in and out of rehab. Thankfully, the tumour has shrunk in size, but we have yet to find out whether or not the cancer is fully gone. However, the doctor says that even if it is gone, there is a chance that not all of the cancer cells will have died during radiation and may regenerate with time. Also, the doctors say Meng will regrettably be permanently paralyzed in her left side as a result of this cancer.
She is currently in rehab. We are aiming to have her home by October 2020 and we need your help to aid us to ensure her accessibility needs are met.
Supplies this donation would cover would be:
- Ramp
- Motorized wheelchair
- Hospital bed
- Safety commode
- Mechanical lift
- Medications
- Shower-accessible renovations
We miss her so much and she wants to come home. With your help, we will be able to make this happen and make sure she is accommodated comfortably.
Your help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
The Devasagayam Family
