Mena Family- aid for medical and tornado recovery
Donation protected
I am Wendi Lovell-Tipps I used to live next door to The Mena Family for about 10 years, the Mena Family will forever hold a very close place in my families hearts.
The Mena Family were among the many whose lives were affected by the tornado that ripped through Valley View Texas on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Their family has suffered a complete and total loss of their home and all they owned. We would like to provide them aid in their time of need and get them back on their feet as fast as we can.
Yasmin and Venessa were the only two at home when the tornado hit and ripped their house apart. Both of them were tossed across the road and buried beneath the rubble, until their neighbor found them.
Yasmin is currently still in the ICU in a hospital in Dallas. Her kids and family received heart breaking news that their mom is now paralyzed and the doctors believe she almost certainly will never walk again. Her and her family will have a long journey to recovery.
Their 4yr old sister Vanessa, was discharged from the hospital. She too still has a long recovery as she currently cannot be active and has to stay still as possible. Anyone who knows her, knows that she is a very active child, but she is doing her best to rest and recover.
The remaining siblings and family are going between the hospital for mom, caring for their little sister, and back in Valley View in search of what is left of their possessions.
We are all so grateful they are both alive after the nightmare they faced during this EF3 tornado. The Mena family has a significantly rough road ahead of them. Not only with rebuilding their lives and home, but helping their mom with her recovery and the changes that will take place on a daily basis to provide her with the proper necessities and environment in the near future.
Please help this family in any way that you can. All money raised will go directly to the family to help with financial needs such as medical and the rebuilding of their lives.
Thank you and God bless you all.
