Angela Neargarder, Show Director at Gibraltar Trade Center for the past nine years, was diagnosed with breast cancer on December 29, 2015. Although it was caught early enough to give great odds for survival, the ensuing surgeries, treatments, and other steps involved in eradicating this disease are indeed a trial for her - body, soul, and mind.
On February 15th, Angela will face a double mastectomy followed by subsequent reconstructive surgeries, and other required treatments as the oncologist determines necessary. Time off work for surgeries, recovery, and the financial burden of trying to pay for medical costs await her.
Some of you already know Angie personally or professionally and are familiar with her positive, giving, and loving nature as well as her "can do" approach to anything she has ever faced. She has donated much of her time, support, and involvement to volunteering for community and church, fundraising for those in need, and coordination of many community activities. For those who do not know her, suffice it to say, this beautiful woman who gives so much of herself to others now needs the same kind of support and compassion shown to her during this challenging time of her life. No one deserves it more.
All financial help will be utilized to get her through this most trying period while she recovers from surgery and treatments and is unable to work. Let’s show her that she is not alone in this and is dearly loved and supported by so many.
