Let’s help men with mental health and financial issues

I'm David,

This is difficult for me but it's something I have thought long and hard about and I feel it is time I spoke out, and also tried to repay those that have helped me.

I have had a great career, I have a fantastic family (wife and 2 kids) and I've always tried to be positive. However, the last 2 years have been extremely difficult for me personally and professionally and without the support of a few friends (I have no wider family), a charity called Best mates and some counselling, I would not have made it through.

People that know me, will know that I've had a beard ALL of my life and that I'm usually the first to donate or support someone in need, so I'm hoping you will recognise the significance of my actions and support my cause.

On November 1st I shaved my beard to create a handlebar moustache and I will wear it proudly for the whole month. Given I haven't shaved for over 20 years, I felt this was a good way to show my commitment to the cause.

I'd really like to raise £2000 (or more) so that I can donate to Best Mates and also support other men in need, like I have been for the last 2 years. Where will your donation be used?

Men don't speak out, we don't ask for help and it's a big issue, so please help me to continue the push to promote this issue and support those that need help.
