32-year veteran Memphis Firefighter David Pleasant made the ultimate sacrifice for the City of Memphis on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. While responding to a reported house fire, David's apparatus, Truck 5, was involved in a motor vehicle accident and the ladder truck he was driving turned over on its side. Unfortunately, Brother Pleasant succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident. As a result, the Memphis Fire Fighters Association Foundation (a 501c3 charitable organization) is collecting funds to pass on to Brother Pleasant's four daughters to assist them in their time of need.
