In the wee hours of Friday morning, presumably before the sun had risen. Memphis Current was broken into and robbed.

Aside from the vandal breaking not one, but two large pieces of glass (A door and a window), we also had several basic necessities for business taken from us, including power tools, iPads, a TV, some cash and several other electronics and tools.

This has resulted in several thousands worth of damage and another few thousand worth of stolen goods.

While our insurance does cover theft, we still have a high deductible to meet and we also don’t have any of the receipts or serial numbers of things stolen. And according to the landlord, all damage done to the windows is the tenants responsibility and needs to be fixed in a timely manner.

As you may or may not know, Memphis Current is essentially ran by one person, Sam Prager. Which is me.

Coincidently, this has happened at an extremely inopportune time for us, since we just invested most of our money into finishing our renovations and paying license fees as we move forward with opening the catering aspect of the business.

Thank you for your kindness and support of Memphis Current and myself. I try to do good work for Memphis, I really do. And I hate this happened, but if you would, please help combat this small-scale tragedy with some old-fashioned generosity.
