Memory benches - Lauren McColl & Belinda Ritchie

Hi my name is Kate Petersen (nee Kitchin), and in 1992, our year 7 class from Upper Mt Gravatt Primary School lost two beautiful souls, Lauren and Belinda, when they were struck by lightning on a school camp bush walk at Binna Burra (Lamington National Park). Their memorial plaque was destroyed in the 2019 Binna Burra fires. As we approach the 30-year anniversary of their passing, we have an opportunity to reinstate a memorial to each of them and also contribute to supporting the rebuilding of beautiful Binna Burra as they recover from the catastrophic damage they endured. Help us install 2 reflection benches - 1 each - engraved with their names so there will always be a place to go to remember them.
