Memories of Malachi

There are moments in life when the world around you keeps moving but yours freezes. Almost like a dream you can't wake up from. My family is experiencing that moment right now. September 17th 2023, we got the news that our 19 year old brother, cousin, nephew, son, grandson, uncle, best friend Malachi Dunbar, was murdered in Richmond, VA.

Malachi never had an easy life but he still found a way to smile and make others do the same. He had a passion for his family and he showed it every chance he could. He lived with such a light energy even in dark situations. Malachi was studying to become an electrician. He moved back to Richmond from Philly after losing his uncle and huge role model, Curtis Dunbar. Not only did he lose his uncle, just 5 months ago he loss his father, Tyrone Dunbar. Malachi was planning to move to the country to get away from the stress and violence of the city. Unfortunately, that was taken away from him. Malachi will always be remembered for his side smile. We love you king! Fly high!!

I don't think anyone plans for a death, this one was completely unexpected therefore there were no insurances set in place for Malachi. We are asking for any help you can offer to remember Malachi. The pain that comes with losing a 19 year old family member to a senseless murder comes with so many questions, your assistance will help us answer one.
