Hi, my name is Kelly, and I’m fundraising for my beautiful son, Shaun.

Shaun is just 22 years old, and he’s recently been diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. It’s something no parent ever expects to hear — a devastating and life-changing diagnosis that has come far too soon.

Shaun has always been an old soul. He has a deep love for history and finds joy in exploring old buildings, imagining the lives that came before. But right now, Shaun is feeling very lost. Alongside this diagnosis, he’s also grieving the recent loss of his beloved dog, Hunter — his best friend, constant companion, and emotional anchor. Losing Hunter has left a huge hole in his life, especially now, when he needs support the most.

I want to give Shaun something to look forward to — something to hold onto. And I’ll be honest: I don’t normally ask for help. I’ve always tried to manage on my own. But this time, I can’t do it alone.

I’m hoping to raise funds to give Shaun some joy, some comfort, and some unforgettable memories while we still have time to make them.

Shaun lights up around old architecture. We want to plan a road trip visiting beautiful towns and historic buildings across Australia — a memory-making journey just for him.
