Ryann Lucille is not your typical 8 year old. Yes, she loves playing, and swimming and exploring; but Ryann suffers from a very rare form of epilepsy known as ESES. It is a devastating condition that causes her to endure 80-100 seizures each night while her brain attempts to transition into REM. The severity of these seizures can cause brain damage. In Ryann's case, the brain damage is also affecting parts of her memory.
This vibrant, beautiful girl has developed a fear of going to sleep because as she says "The Memories Are Gone"
when she awakes.
There is very little known about her condition and there are few options for treatment. None of which are covered by insurance. Ryann Lucille needs treatment quickly in order to help heal her brain before the damage is irreversible.
Ryann's parents, Jennifer and Taylor Durkee are hoping to implement Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOY) as well as Stem Cell Therapy. Both of which are currently out of reach financially and would require multiple and ongoing treatments.
Any donation is appreciated, and would be lifechanging for Ryann. All funds will be given to Jen and Taylor Durkee for Ryann's treatment. If you can't donate financially, you can still help. Please keep Ryann and her family in your prayers, donate your recyclables
(Orange County, CA only) and share her story.
