My name is Kara Clark and I've started this memorial fund in hopes that all who love Makayla will leave a special note, a story, a memory, a piece of written memorabilia as a token of our love for her and her family.
Makayla Ann DeBoer-Maynes is my niece. She is my sister, Kristins' oldest daughter. Recently Kayla struggled with her health. On top of aspergers autism and other health concerns, Kayla was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia. Kayla was brave and willing to put in the work to win, but her battle lasted only 4 weeks. Due to health complications from chemotherapy, we lost her last Sunday, November 8. We are crushed by this unexpected departure, but know #kaylathegreat is with other loved ones in Heaven.
Many of you have asked how you can help. My hope is that through this fund, Makaylas family can cover her services and spend some time as a family in a special place in her memory. Thank you for your kindness and generosity in this tender time.
