27 years ago, at the age of 11 I was diagnosed with a rare kidney disorder. A form of Nephrotic Syndrome called FSGS (Focal Segmental Glomeruli Sclerosis) Ever since then, with the support of my Mom (Barb Beeeley Finch) and a very dedicated group of Family and friends, I have fought to have the most normal life possible
Barbara Finch (née Beesley), age 63. Loving wife of Paul Finch. Devoted mother of Angie (Phil) Hilliker and Erica Burkeen. Doting grandmother of Phinneas Hilliker. She is survived by her siblings Tim (Pat) Beesley, Pam (Jon) Farris, John (Denise) Beesley, and Kassie Beesley and her sister-in-law Jennifer (Travis) Henderson. She is survived by her step-mother, Gail Beesley. Barbara will be remembered as a compassionate and dedicated leader in the workplace; her ability to recognize the talent of others will be missed. She started her professional career as a receptionist and rose to the level of Vice President of Operations. She helped build a small aerospace company to a 100+ person operation that has spread into two plants. She was a staunch advocate for her loved ones, who will miss her strength, sage advice, and fierce protection. We will remember her when we bake Christmas cookies and cheesecakes. We will raise a margarita glass in her honor. She will remain with us in spirit during the family gatherings that she treasured. Summer boat rides on Lake Oconee won’t be the same without her. But we will continue to celebrate her life by finding joy in family and making more happy memories, because that it what she would want us to do. Her memorial gathering will be on Thursday December 21st from 3-7 pm, with a memorial service at 5 pm at Howe Peterson Funeral Home,9800 Telegraph Rd, Taylor, MI 48180. All who know Barbara realize how hard she worked to help her youngest daughter, Erica, who has a chronic kidney disease. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Barb Finch Memorial Medical fund (https://www.gofundme.com/MemorialMedicalFund). All donations will support Erica’s health care, allowing Barb’s loved ones to continue her legacy of protection and care.
