Amazing Friends, Family and Community:

Remembering and Honoring Amris Bedford and Bailey Baldwin FOREVER. Creating a Memorial Garden at Midway Elementary School for each of Our Angels. WE can watch it grow and flourish each year. The Memorial Garden can be a thoughtful tribute to Amris and Bailey. It will serve as a a quiet, reflective place where you can go to be comforted and inspired. It will enrich lives by allowing The Families and Community to feel at peace while remembering Amris and Bailey.

There truly are no words for the loss of a loved one. Especially when a parent loses a child. A child loss is not an event, it is an indescribable journey of survival. I wish I had words to lighten the agony for Amris's Family and Bailey's Family but sometimes words are just not enough.

Amris was a special girl who melted every heart with her infectious smile that lit up a room. She was instant friends with everyone she met. She had a great sense of humor, and always made people laugh. She was a kind spirit, always eager to lend a helping hand. She was a 5th grade student at Midway Elementary School. At school, she was an Honor roll student and a member of the Jr. Beta Club, Garden Club and 4-H. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Blackshear and was active in the GA's, Awana Club, and Children's Choir, all of the children's musicals, and attended the 5th Grade Sunday School Class. Amris enjoyed taking dance lessons at Center Stage Dance Studio, piano lessons from Cindy Callahan, and she loved to sing. She also played soccer at the Pierce County Recreation Department and she enjoyed playing golf. Amris was a loved and cherished patient at St Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. She participated in school, fundraising, and Child Life programs while receiving treatment at St. Jude. Amris was adored by the staff of St. Jude and ALSAC, and she helped bring awareness and hope to many families dealing with the misfortune of childhood cancer. Amris danced into the arms of Jesus on March 2, 2021 at her residence.

Bailey was full of life and love and knew how to make everyone smile. She was full of spunk, sweetness, kindness and faith. She enjoyed playing tennis and the guitar. She enjoyed creating videos for her You Tube channel and was always the life of that party. She was a former student at Midway Elementary School. She was a 6th grade student at Pierce County Middle School. She had participated in softball and cheerleading at the Pierce County Recreation Department and had attended Destination Church and First Baptist Church in Blackshear. She had participated in the Awana Club at Emmanuel Baptist Church. She passed away peacefully on May 18, 2019 at UF Shands Hopsital in Gainesville, Florida on the fifth anniversary of her heart transplant.

Words cannot thank you enough for all the love, support, and prayers that Amris's and Bailey's family has received. They truly feel so blessed to be surrounded by such amazing family, friends, and community.
