Memorial to Wisp and fund to get speed cameras

Donation protected

On Monday morning at between the hours of 4:30am -6:30am Wisp was run over and killed by a speeding driver and left dead in the road as you turn into my estate from a main road. The driver left him in the road to die and we had to recover his body.

I want to make a change. Cats are NOT protected by law on the roads and if you hit one you don’t even have to stop like you do for a dog, or a horse or even a chicken…

How people do this is disgusting and I feel like there is a void in my heart, I don’t even feel safe to leave the house anymore. I need help to do a memorial for him, including cremation and a picture, along with money to go to court to request footage of the driver who killed him. Knowing this could be someone living close by fills me with rage and disgust.

I have done everything in my power to contact council and traffic authority to put a working speed camera, slow signage etc but I’ve been met with rudeness and ignorance, and no one seems to know anything. I want to protect other cats from the same fate - because you never think it can happen to you. I thought my area was safe.

We are besides ourselves with grief but I want to do this in his honour - to put a camera or speed signage in that road - to make the person who left him see that they are not human - and to make my community safer. for wisp, thank you.
