Mershell Sherman was, among many other extraordinary things, a true friend of the Tallahassee Senior Center. A volunteer since 2011, he generously shared his time, energy, and passion -- introducing seniors to the power of percussion, the rapture of rhythm, and the creation of community. Mershell's magical drumming circles were always popular, and participants invariably left with smiles on their faces and joy in their hearts. Mershell will be dearly missed. Please join me in remembering Mershell by donating toward the purchase of an engraved platinum star for the Memorial Galaxy Star Wall, located in the Tallahassee Senior Center. All donations that exceed the original goal are appreciated, and are a beautiful way to honor and memorialize our dear friend Mershell while supporting an organization that was near and dear to him, the Tallahassee Senior Citizens Foundation. TSCF's mission is to generate funding to support programs and services that enhance seniors' and caregivers' quality of life through educational, social, recreational, and wellness opportunities.
