Memorial services for Monteen Winfree

Our beloved Monteen Winfree has passed away…

Monteen had been ill for a while but was rushed to East Jefferson hospital on the 4th of July due to shortness of breath. She was found to have a collapsed lung and in true Monteen form was brought back to life three times in several hours. After a courageous two week battle in the critical care unit, Monteen exited this earth just as she came in- A brave and courageous person who proved to be a wonderful friend, daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother.

We are all devastated by this loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Monteen the memorial she deserves, honor her memory and allow the many lives she has touched to do the same.

We’re asking for anyone who has the means, without breaking their own bank…. To just make a donation and help us honor this amazing woman.

It means so much to us and I know it means the world to her.
