If you did or didn’t know javy, man all I gotta say is that javy was THE SINGEL BEST person to be around with all the time. He never had a single frown on his face or a single tear in his eyes. The last time I saw my brother cry was during the Avengers Infinity War movie, it was weird because I never knew he had tears to cry with. Javy was the brightest soul in every room and while he was annoying at times, I can say that with all of my heart, he was the best brother, and the best friend that I could’ve ever asked for. I know that I never saw a side of him that his friends saw, I mostly think it’s my fault since I was always busy with work and getting heartbroken by a girl, but javy was out there living his best life as I hear from all of his friends. I wish I could’ve been a bigger part in that life and I’m sure his friends can agree that we all wish he had a whole lot more time with us. His passing breaks everyone’s hearts, especially since he left us at a young age of 16 because of a drunk driver. I miss you bro, i love you and i hope that you can save me a spot up there when it’s my turn ️ - with much love, your older brother Alex

Javier Castañeda Rodríguez also known as "little Javi" was a loving son, brother, and friend. His life was cut too short by the carelessness of a drunk driver. The accident occurred on October 25,2022 on a Tuesday around midnight. Javier was coming home from work when a drunk driver crossed over a center median and hit Javier’s car head on. Javier was only 16 years old and was an advanced student who attended the early college program at Garza ECHS. Little Javi was a bright person who filled conversations with sarcasm and laughter. He was loved by teachers and students at Garza and it’s devastating to see him go so early.
We ask you to support Javier’s family by donating anything you can. He had an older brother, little sister, and mom waiting for him to come home. They deserve all the support they can possibly receive. They lost a soon to be college student, a bright son. He was a younger brother, and also an older one; he deserved better. Javier was hardworking and constantly pursuing his dreams. He worked to pay for his own car, go out with friends, get a new phone, buy an exaggerated amount of manzanita, and buy articles that fit his style.

We hope that Javier is resting in peace and his family is surrounded with an abundant amount of love during this time.
