Hi Everyone, for those who don’t know us, we’re Jays daughters Samantha, Stephanie and Sabrina.
On August 25th our dad went in for a surgery. The surgery went really well and the surgeon was very pleased. Friday he called me and in his true Jay humor said “hey kid, just wanted to let you know I’m still alive. I love you and I’ll call you later I’m tired.” Saturday he was moved from the ICU to a normal room to prepare for his discharge on Monday. Unfortunately, Sunday night We received a call from the hospital that he was being moved back to the ICU. His blood pressure plummeted and his heart rate skyrocketed and that we all needed to get there as soon as possible. Sunday August 28th our dad lost his battle. Now my family and I have to lay him to rest. With him being disabled for the last few years, he didn’t have many assets or any end of life plans. If you knew Jay personally, you know he would help anyone with anything the best he could. We are doing our best but the Unexpected expenses have placed a large burden on top of our grief. If you knew Jay, or know us, and would like to help the family out, any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for everyone who has reached out and shared stories of our Dad.
Services for Jay are Thursday 9/1 at Keefe Funeral Home in Lincoln from 4-7 with a mass of Catholic burial Friday 9/2 from St Joseph’s on Mendon Rd in Cumberland.
