Estimados familiares y amigos: Estamos extremadamente devastados de anunciar el fallecimiento de nuestra querida Gloria Jiménez González, quien perdió su batalla contra la insuficiencia renal el 14 de Diciembre de 2022.

Gloria fue diagnosticada con insuficiencia renal terminal cuando tenía 16 años. A partir de ahí comenzó su batalla de vida por vivir. Gloria tuvo que recibir diálisis 4 veces a la semana durante 3-4 horas al día. Como puede imaginar, esto puede ser muy agotador para alguien, pero esto nunca impidió que Gloria peleara. Este último año fue muy difícil para Gloria. Tuvo muchas complicaciones de salud, cirugías y tratamientos, y eventualmente, el hospital se convirtió en su segundo hogar como ella decía. Incluso en sus días malos cuando no tenía motivación, recordaba su propósito en la vida y se levantaba para seguir adelante. La presencia de Gloria siempre iluminaba la vida con una simple sonrisa. Gloria es como el sol porque sabe brillar con luz propia.

Gloria fue realmente única. Su risa contagiosa, su lucha por la vida y su corazón grande serán recordados para siempre. Si la conociste por algún tiempo, tu vida fue tocada para siempre; tu eres unos de los afortunados. Nada puede curar la angustia de perder un alma tan hermosa. A pesar de todos los diagnósticos médicos que tenía Gloria vivía cada día como si fuera el último. Su legado vive para siempre a través de nosotros.

La repentina pérdida de Gloria ha dejado y seguirá dejando un profundo vacío en la vida de quienes la conocieron. Gloria será extrañada por todos nosotros; ella era hija, hermana, prima, tía y la mejor amiga de todos. Recordemos a Gloria por todo lo que fue, y no como nos dejó.

Dear Family and Friends, we are extremely devastated to announce the passing of our beloved Gloria Jimenez Gonzalez as she lost her battle with kidney failure on December 14th of 2022.

Gloria was diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure when she was 16 years old. From there began her battle of life to live. Gloria had to get dialysis 4 times a week for 3-4 hours a day. As you might imagine this can be very draining for someone but this never stopped Gloria from fighting. This past year was very difficult for Gloria. She had many health complications, surgeries, and treatments, and eventually, the hospital became her second home as she used to say. Even on her bad days when she had no motivation she remembered her purpose in life and got up to keep going. Gloria’s presence always lit the room with a simple smile. Gloria is like the sun because she knows how to shine with her own light.

Gloria was truly one of a kind. Her contagious laugh, zest for life, and warm heart will forever be remembered. If you knew her for any amount of time, your life was forever touched; you are one of the lucky ones. Nothing can heal the heartbreak of losing such a beautiful soul. Despite all the medical diagnoses that Gloria had she lived every day as if it was her last. Her legacy lives on forever through us.

The sudden loss of Gloria has left and will continue to leave a deep void in the lives of those who got to know her. Gloria will be sorely missed by all of us; she was a daughter, sister, cousin, auntie, and everyone’s best friend. Let us remember Gloria for all that she was, and not how she left us.
