Memorial Services for Brandy Yvonne Richards
Donation protected
We are hoping to raise some money for the memorial service for my daughter Brandy,
Friday March 29, 2024, My daughter Brandy Yvonne Richards was on her way to work from Oakville to Tumwater in Washington. She chose Littlerock Road as her path because the freeway was a scarier path. She was 12 minutes away.
That Friday, a tragedy that could have been easily avoided occurred and changed two families forever. Nobody could have planned for this; therefore, we are asking for some help to offset the costs associated with cremation and a proper memorial service. A parent should never have to put their own child to rest in death.
While my daughter was driving her daily work path down Littlerock Road in Thurston County, she was unaware that there was a white lifted 2003 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling at high speeds, passing cars – multiple at a time – in clearly marked double yellow no passing zones and even passing vehicles on the shoulder, causing them to cross the double yellow lines into oncoming traffic. The Chevrolet Silverado was completing its illegal pass of 4 vehicles at once at over 80 mph in a clearly marked 40 mph zone, his truck crossed the double yellow lines and crashed into the Dodge Dakota that my daughter was driving. The force of impact killed Brandy instantly. The driver of the 2003 lifted Chevrolet Silverado was uninjured.
Brandy Yvonne Richards was only 46 at the time of her death. She still had a life to live. She was a daughter, a sister, a mother, a grandmother and a friend. Our family is shattered. Brandy did not deserve to die that day, but the driver of the 2003 lifted Cheverolet Silverado does deserve the full punishment that can be given.
This wasn't a case of distracted driving. This wasn't a case of simple a tire blowout that led to tragedy. The driver of the 2003 Cheverolet Silverado made the choice to consume alcohol and get behind the wheel and drive recklessly.
Please help if you can! Anything can help!
Thank you.
