On Thursday September 17, 2020 we lost a son, brother, uncle, dear friend, boyfriend, artist, producer and exceptional human being, Augustus "Gus" Cryns. He was only 31, too young!
He was loved greatly by his family, he was the youngest of 7 and as you can imagine, thats a lot of Love and now a lot of pain from his passing!
Gus aka "Beast" was one of a kind. He was an incredible producer, musician and friend. He did magical work with so many artists and bands music and was a best friend to many. Gus was a part of so many bands success. He was generous with his time and helped young aspiring musicians work toward their musical goals.
Gus was a graduate of the Los Angeles Recording School and worked as an intern under some notable producers/ studios before branching out on his own.
He was a member and producer of Attika7, performed in Dark Sky Choir, The Dead Rabbitts and A Mirror Hallow. He also worked with and produced many bands including Megadeth's Kiko Loureiro, Butcher Babies, Westfield Massacre, Attika7, Dark Sky Choir, Dokken, Universal, New Year's Day, Stitched Up Heart, Death Division, Evolution Empire, Red Devil Vortex, Vyces, The Dirty Machine, Dark Station, Seizure, Divine Annihilation, Callum Connor (Anderson Paak), Andrew Wuepper (Justin Bieber), John Moyer (Disturbed), Debby Holiday, Marten Andersson (Steelheart, Lizzy Borden), Telle Smith (The Word Alive), Dino Jelusic (TSO), Ca$h Passion, Durga McBroom (Pink Floyd), Katja Rieckermann (Rod Stewart, Lady Gaga), VoKillz (American Idol) and many other bands and solo artists.
Gus had just released his first album on September 11th, 2020, the debut BLK MANSN record "Infinity" with his best friend and band mate Ira Black. Ira Black wrote... "Gus and I reached new levels of our musical journey together by believing in each other, pushing each other past our limits and supporting each other unconditionally in our personal lives. I will miss my musical soulmate forever!"
All of us who loved and knew Gus want to give him the memorial he so deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes. We are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Gus's memorial services and need to raise $2500 by October 5th. There is also a plan to cement his well deserved legacy in the Los Angeles music scene by dedicating a plaque to Gus at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
This memorial campaign supports the Cryns family in their time of mourning and has their full backing and blessing. They are appreciative and grateful for the outpouring of Love for Gus and his achievements.
