Paul "The Polar Bear" Varelans fought a hard battle with COVID-19, but unfortunately lost the biggest and most important fight he'd ever have on 1.16.21. As many of you know, he was best known as as an early pioneer in the UFC world. He had an incredible love for the organization and sport, but an even bigger love for the strong knit UFC community. At 6ft 8, Paul was often referred to as a "gentle giant" and his kindhearted nature outside of the ring made him an instant friend to anyone he ever met. We would like to honor The Polar Bear in the way he would have wanted, by assisting his family with the funeral expenses. Any amount will make a difference to honor the life and memory of Paul.
