On Friday, February 11th 2022, I received a phone call at 930pm. It’s a call that no one wants to get. The phone call that makes your world stop. I was told my daddy had left this world. It is not something I expected to hear so soon, especially considering no one had let my family know he was declining so quickly. No one called me from Hospice; no one called me from the nursing home; it was a LVN who called to give her condolences and wanted to let me know my dad had passed at 9. I’m full of many emotions to say the least. My dad never got to hold his granddaughter due to COVID restrictions, only see her through a window and on FaceTime. My family and I are beyond heartbroken; however, we find peace in knowing that he is no longer suffering. He is no longer in pain and is with my Grandma Mary, my Nana, My Tata and Great Uncle John, all who he loved dearly.
I am not one to normally ask for help. But I am asking now for help to give my daddy a memorial service. Any donation helps. My family and I appreciate all the help we can get. Thank you to all of you who have given me your condolences. Your love and support mean a lot.
